Art the clown is the best horror villain I have seen for a long time. He is brutal. I do not like the magic sword macguffin though, I think it ruins the film.

Saw this whe I was 18, when it came out to movie theaters in London, UK!! This was more confusing for me. The pillar in the previous intallment was wooden. This one is stone. The box thing is still something I'm trying to figure out.... The original from 1987 is the best in my opinion!! Also, the cenobites were more intimidating in the first and second movies as they weren't familiar. They were more mysterious. We didn't really learn much about them, not even in Hellbound. Great review as always👍

Film telling about what the political elite thinks and does with people. Their decadent sexual prefferences and views on the society indirectly and literaly. Accept reality. Powerful people are bored and frustrated thus they have unusual needs. All protagonists in the movie were juse pawns except a young girl and people behind tamed glass in the background. Scenarist was a middleman with political executive background.

I think he was just Tom Green. He was just trolling the idiots that gave him the money to make a movie.

I wasn’t as impressed by The Descent as some people were,it was competent enough but also quite generic both in premise and execution.It was fine but just didn’t grab me for some reason,maybe because it didn’t have anything really original or surprising.

Yeah you can tell Pinhead definitely delivered a dark sense of humor kind of Freddy Kruger in a sense in number 3 unlike all the other movies where he was nothing like that personality wise

Verhoeven has gone on to admit that most of Berkleys overacting was done from his direction. I believe he apologized to her because he felt like she was getting unfair criticism.

This one's my favorite! It's the Americanized dumbed downed, beefed up, skanky gorefest that could only come out of the early 90s. And I remember all the promo at the time. Good memories. It's more slasher than horror but I think it works to its advantage. Thoughtful review.
